About

I've had many experimental years with photography using a variety of cameras and film formats. There have been film (and digital) point-and-shoots, and also affairs with an inherited Minolta Maxxum 7000, Lomography cameras, and a Graflex Speed Graphic. The sheet film for the latter of which, I taught myself to develop with variable success in a less than ideal makeshift darkroom.

I also have a minor background in art, primarily with painting and drawing mediums, and have been equally as interested in the history and process of learning the craft as in the creation of it.

As such, this website has been created to serve as a visual diary of my exploration of, and (self‑)education in, photography. It may eventually evolve to a standard which I will be proud to consider a portfolio. But for the time being, it will be representative of the development of my knowledge and skills as I learn (and have opinions about) different styles and techniques.

My GAS is as bad as the next guy's, but I'm presently rolling with a Sony a7.

All the photographs on this website are my own, and owned by me, unless otherwise indicated.
